Other Activities that use the MASDA Building

Wayne teaches line dancing for beginner and intermediate levels each Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at Montgomery Area Square Dance Association building.

This activity is sponsored by Baptist Health Senior Advantage. Both men and women attend. It is an excellent opportunity to get regular weekly excercise and to learn a variety of line dances.

Lines
Chestnut Street Opry Chestnut Street Opry provides an opportunity for musicians of any skill level who enjoy bluegrass, country western and gospel music to get together for a jam session on a regular basis.

The public is invited to enjoy the music by listening, singing, or dancing in an alcohol and smoke free building which has wonderful acoustics and dance floor which can accommodate up to almost 300 people.

Donations are accepted. Come enjoy an evening with us, every 2nd Friday of the month (except December) 7:00 - 9:30 p.m.
Wayne’s Workshop meets every fourth Saturday (except August & November when it meets on the third Saturday) at Montgomery Area Square Dance Association building from 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.

This workshop is designed for people who are interested in dance. Experienced dancers as well as people with no prior dance experience attend. It is an excellent opportunity to be exposed to different types of dance, including square dance, contra dance, line dance, and folk dance. Refreshments are served. The charge per person is $3.00.
